Romanov and Nevgi (2007) on the assessment of the association between the use of video materials and learning outcomes among students concluded that those who watched video clips (as learning resources) achieved higher course grades. This is because video episodes present lessons in a way that affects the audience not only intellectually but also emotionally, and are effective in motivating a learner to change his or her behavior.
